THE KORNATI NATIONAL PARK
All over the world, the national parks try to proove their uniqueness
by the longevity of their existance. The amazing beauty and
the unique nature make the visitors ask themselves:how and when
was all this created?
According to the legend, after the creation of the world, there
were few stones left in the God's hand and he threw them over
his shoulder into the sea. But the God also was curious so he
looked back. He was satisfied with the sight of 140 islands,islets
and cliffs that form the most scattered island range in the
Mediterranean sea.
The name of Kornati originates from the Latin verb "chorrinare"
meaning "dispersed islands".
The sailors, sailing often among the islands, understood the
God's satisfaction.
But the beauty of the Kornati Islands is not ment only for sailors.Our
human curiosity leads us,the ordinary people ,there too. Because
of that we invite you to come and visit the Kornati archipelago.

from Vodice in the morning,
visiting all the interesting islands,arrival to Vodice in the
evening)

the fishermen's houses , the food supply is organized, mail
and newspapers are delivered regularly)
The Krka National Park is only 20 km far by
air from the Kornati National Park. Because of the abundance
of its waters,its fish and water weeds, the Krka river presents
the real contrast to the Moon landscape of the Kornati Islands.
Many paths lead the visitors to the numerous cascades, waterfalls
and lakes.
You can swim in the crystal clear Kornati sea to refresh yourself.
The swimming in the Krka river means seeking for the reality
of the sight.
THE
DONKEY ISLAND LOGORUN
Many animals have become the symbol of the countries where they
live. The lions are the symbol of Africa, the buffalos of the
North America� Although still very shyly, Dalmatia presents
the donkey as its symbol.
The donkey is a symbol of persistance of an animal but also
of the people who managed to survive in very poor and difficult
conditions. Aware of the value of these animals, people don't
kill them.
When the donkeys grow old they take them to the islands and
leave them there to live in peace the rest of their lives.
THE VODICE ARCHIPELAGO
The Vodice archipelago consists of the islands of Logorun,
Prvić, Tijat, Zmajan and few smaller ones. In the vicinity
there are also the islands of Zlarin , Kaprije, Kakanj
i ®irje.
Some of them boast the wonderful beaches like the island of
Tijat.
The people from Zlarin have preserved some
old crafts from the past like diving for corals and making the
coral jewelry.
The island of Krapanj is known as the island
of sponges because the sponge processsing has been the traditional
activity of its inhabitants for hundreds of years.
Everything is so close so it is possible visit almost all
these islands in just one day.
THE FALCON CENTRE
The Falcon Centre is situated in a dense pine woods near Dubrava,
the village only 8km far from Šibenik.
It is the unique place where visitors can learn something about
the mysterious life of the sky hunters- falcons.
The man has always been fascinated with the birds of pray. Falconery
�the art of hunting with falcons has existed since 5000. B.C.
It spread from China,accross Persia and the Middle East to Europe.
It was very popular in the Middle Ages.
When the modern weapons appeared the falconery lost its popularity.
It has survived thanks to the numerous enthusiasts and today
we are the witnesses of the faconery renaissance.
We are proud that we continue the tradition of this noble skill
and that we are able to reveal to our visitors all these secrets
that a falconer should know in order to live in harmony with
the wild nature of a falcon.
We offer several possibilities to learn more about falcons to
those who'll find that just one visit is not sufficient to satisfy
their curiosity.
One day course
It is the course organised by the falconry experts. The visitors
are given the oportunity to experience all the atractions of
the hunting with falcons.
They will actively participate in the organized hunting.
The course begins at 9.45 am and ends at about 5.00 pm.
The price: 380,00 kn per per person
5 days course
This course is ment for those who intend to become serious
and skillful falconers.
It is a combination of theory lessons from biology, veterinary
and ornithology and practice needed for hunting with falcons.
The course starts on Monday at 9.45 am. and ends on Saturday
at 12 .00 am.
The price is 1500,00 kn per person (accommodation
cost included)
Visits to the Falcon Centre
The Falcon Centre is open every day from 10.00am to 5.00pm.For
larger groups The previous booking is required.
The price is 10.00 kn per person.
RAFTING
Only 25km far from Split there's a picturesque small town with
pirate history- Omiš. Situated at the mouth of the river Cetina
, on the foot of the mountains Mosor and Dinara,Omiš offers
excellent possibilities for activity holidays:walking, cycling,
canoeing, free climbing, paragliding,diving, sailing and rafting.
The guests are met at the restaurant «Radmanove mlinice».
From there they are taken to the starting point. The rafting
ends after 3 to 4 hours of the exciting race along the canyon
of the Cetina river which is one of the most beautiful Croatian
rivers.
The average water temperature is about 20 degrees centigrade
and the air temperature Is about 30 degrees centigrade so
you can also enjoy swimming and sun bathing.
There's no special training or physical condition needed for
rafting. Even the 10 �14 year old children may participate
if escorted by parents.

3-day
fishing trip
We organize the exciting fishing trips by the motor boat DESTO
(in the
photograph) for 10 to 20 people. The trip starts from Vodice
to the islands of ®irje,Blitvenica, Kakanj and Kaprije.
This area abounds in fish. Food and accommodation are provided
on bord. The guests go fishing by smaller boats together with
the expert fishermen. Different fishing tecniques are used:
fishing sticks, long-lining, fishing nets.
Tunny fish, sword-fish,shark, dente',gilthead , squid, octopus,cuttle-fish
are some of the fish species you can find in the Adriatic sea.
The only equipment you need to take is the fishing stick. Everything
else will be provided on bord.
Accommodation, meals, fishing permit, baits and guides are included
in
price.The caught fish is prepared on bord. If there are some
special trophies you can take them home as a souvenir.
